Gen Wins 2017 Centenary Swim Meet

College celebrates win after 12 years!

At the recent annual Centenary Swim Meet, there was much excitement and cheering around the pool as ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ FCJ College were crowned swim champions for the first time in twelve years!  

The girls from ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ put in a stunning display, swimming strongly throughout the day under the watchful eye of GenAquatic Head Coach, Mr Amon Soerink and Performance Mentor, Mr Matt Welsh.

Held at ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ on Friday 17 February, five schools came together to compete in all four swimming disciplines, individual medleys and relays, with the final standings as follows:

In a tight fought race, congratulations to Megan Grimshaw (Year 11) for her win in the ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Fastest 50m Championship, in a time of 30.32sec. This is the second time Megan has won this prestigious event, repeating her outstanding effort in 2016.

Well done girls, a great warm-up for our House Swimming Carnival!
